Wow, I just realized - I moved to an inner city area again. I don't need mud scrapers any more. I just need to occasionally scrape off the grayish crud that collects on cities now.
Environmental damage (sort of rusted it). It's worth ten cents. If these coins have been in the ground, the water, soil, air etc. turn the coating this color.
