Can anyone I.D. The Rim Issue?

    Seems to be some extra activity within the denticals. I show several in the picture but it does run about a third of the obverse rim. And also on the back. I suppose it could be a double hit on the coin or something like that. I really could use some help identifying the cause !

    Looks like it has been just knocked about a bit.....and slashed...

    Thanks for the input Jerome. Just for giggles can you see the extra inpression just at the end of the denticles? There is definitly something going on there . And it is on both sides of the coin.

    It resembles the mark left by a prong from a bezel. Are there any marks 2/3 around the circumference in either direction, or at 90 degree intervals?

    Not as clear but maybe this pic well help. It appears as though the metal was pushed out of the denticles and "piled up" so to speak. It does not flow to the field as other coins do. I am just trying to find out what happened and maybe what caused it.

    Can you post a pic of the entire coin - both sides ?
