    I have come across this coin. Here is a photo of both front and back. I would like more information on it or where I can find some at. Thank you much!

    Your coin is a Showa 57 (1982) ¥100 coin from Japan, listed in the Standard Catalog of World Coins ("Krause") as Y#82. It is 9.8g of cu-ni composition (incorrectly shown as 4.2g in Krause), and identical to the current ¥100 coin (Y#99.2) except for the characters indicating the Emperor's reign.

    With billions minted since the design was adopted in 1967, they are literally available "everyplace". :D
