Can anyone help identify this asian coin? I've wasted hours looking.

This coin was mixed in with some silver dollars I bought. I either got lucky or slaped around and would kinda like to know which. First I though Japan, the went to China, then Taiwan . . . I'm just on the tour and need a tour guide for this one. Thanks.

If genuine, more detail is needed to ID it. This is an extremely commonly faked coin.

Should be 26.4g, .8900 silver, ASW .7555 oz.

    • Y#329 has vertical reeding.
    • Y#329.1 has an edge with circles repeating around the entire coin.
    • Y#329.2 has alternating "T"s on the edge.
    • Y#329.3 has a plain edge.
    • Y#329.4 has a tiny circle in the ribbon bow.

Values in VG/F range from BV (~$29.00) to the low 60's. The most common counterfeits are probably those with reeded edges, although fakes of every version abound.
