Can anybody tell me if this is an error on this cent

I was searching a box of pennies and I found these two, can you tell me if these are errors. The first one is a 2003 and the second i cant tell because half of lincoln Face is missing

First one is an off center strike and is an error - the second could be a grease filled, or weak strike but I really cannot tell from photo. So one for two!

 

Looks like they're both errors , the first looks like the coin wasn't centered and the die missed part of the coin . I'm sure someone knowledgable in errors will chime in sooner or latter , BTW nice finds .

thanks for your inputs bhp3rd and rzage. But do they have any value?

 

Because of condition & eye appeal not much - the first I would buy at .75 cents sell for $1.25 - the second nothing. Even if gem BU both under $4 and only on a nice sunny day with no wind - in other words, keep searching!

The first coin is a minor off-center strike. The second coin was flattened outside the Mint.

 

I agree with Mike on all two counts
