Hi everyone. I have a small collection of silver with each piece meaning a great deal to me. Anyone know that feeling? I have a Canadian Wildlife set, some SBSS proofs (please no judgements on that one), and some libertads. Oh, and Chaco Canyon 5 oz ATB, because I've been to Chaco several times and it's truly an amazing place.

I've acquired 3 medals from Mexico and they are by far my favorite pieces. I think I paid too much (ok, I know I did) but the cost pales in comparison to their personal value to me. While I know some history about Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, I know next to nothing about the medals themselves. So I'm asking anyone who may know something to help me fill in the gaps. Info on mintages, years, anything.

    Here's what I do know:

    - They are 2 ounces each
    - They were minted at the casa de moneda de Mexico (I've checked the official Mexican mint site for information and have had no luck)
    - There was a good post about the first coin (Las dos Fridas) back in 2010 on this forum
    - I found some info on e-bay but not much

Thanks very much for your help.

Hey, thanks Jello. They all carry the Moneda de Mexico mint mark, and the strike looks legit, but regrettably the mint has little archival references online. Maybe I'll just need to visit!
