California moon error

    I've heard of the california moon error, how do you Identify one? :confused:

    So is the "moon" that little line next to the moutain?

    To me they look as if the metal has drawn into a rotation about a center. I look at it as a time warp and not a solid, such as a moon. There are a great number of these quarters with this feature and I can see no great pleasure in having one.

    Past stories in Coin World have identified these as being the result of clashed dies.

    Well, I just found one of these "moon errors" in a roll of quarters today.... is there any collectability in them at all? Do they sell on Ebay?
