    I'm just curious but how much gold is in the old 1/4, 1/2 and Dollar fractional California gold.

    Considering California placer gold was valued somewhere between 15 and 16 dollars an oz I would expect the dollar to weigh about 1.9 grams with the half and quarter being in proportion.
