C; what kind of error is this

I saw your coin on A and B.
The answer has not changed.
It was damaged after leaving the mint.
D and E will garner the same answer.
So don't post it again.
Spend it.

 

A vise or Lawn mower, it could have been used as a shim to level something, there are so many variables to the question of PMD.
It did not leave the mint this way.

Grease Filled Die issue.
After some use the Die used to strike the coin will build up debris or grease after cleaning. The Incused areas of the die becomes clogged and won't allow the Blank Planchet being struck to be properly struck.
Your Cent is a great example.

 

And the peace dollar has been beaten to death.
