I have what I believe to be a Byzantine Follis (but I could be way off base, here).
I know very little about the Byzantine period and I am hoping that before I do familiarize myself with the period, someone may be able to identify this coin for me.

It is AE20.3mm (at the widest point) and 3.06gm.,
(My apologies for the photographs - they were taken in a hurry.)

    (All help is appreciated.)

the "M" with the cross reverse makes me think it's a Byzantine, but i don't know what what to make of the obverse.

Looks like a sear 1007 and official, but over struck. Mine: b254.jpg

If you are looking for attribution, it's impossible to tell other than its a follis of Constans II. The date is in the exergue but is illegible. The officina may be a delta? The obverse is Constans holding a globus cruciger obliterated by the under type.

Thank-you very much for your assistance, here.
At this stage, I just wanted to be able to write something on the 2x2, and now I can
    Thanks again.
