My order for the 2009's is done and they are arriving today. I am up to 10 silver mint sets! I just saw the bill and I'm starting to think it's time to cut down on the number for next year. How about 5?:(

I hear you mpc. I'm going broke.
I was planning on buying some of the state park quarter sets too but come on, how much longer can I afford to do this.
Fortunately it's an addictive hobby but one I can control (or can I).

Depends on what you do with them? Gift some? hoping to quick flip some? holding out for future flips? save all in OGP? hunt for 69s/70s to submit for TPG grading? Do you buy according to reported mintage/sales figures? Watch this thread too if you do. Do you need 10, 5, 2 or just one? If you are not selling them or some parts of them why do you buy so many?

The full intent is to sell down the road. I've noticed that the 2008's are slowly appreciating in value (I bought some of those too). The 2009's I think will be winners too eventually due to the Lincoln pennies.
But like I said, I am going to be cutting back for 2010 and beyond to maybe 4 or 5. 10 sets at $52.50 is crushing my credit card.

This is why I will never get a credit card :D

Oh yes! If the CC is involved or adding up, do cut back to a more frugal number of sets acquired. No sense paying any carry over CC balance as it would only cut into your potential profit reselling the sets in the future.

Price is going up next year too. So it's only going to hurt more :(

Funny, I started out buying SAE's. How did I suddenly become entangled buying Mint sets? I'm no longer buying silver eagles, what a shame.

FrankVenn, on a different note. Congrats on 91 posts in the last day! I can't say I've seen this many posts the entire time I've been on CT.
