Bored on a Saturday night, watching a coin show on TV. This dude is trying to sell "original bank rolls" of Morgan dollars in BU uncirculated condition for about $1800. Seems too good to be true. Anyone have any thoughts or advice? Thanks.

Garfield said it first- "If they said it on TV, it must be true."

Most coins sold on TV are sold at a tremendous markup- especially on HSN.

Advice: Stay away from coins sold on TV.

I thought Morgans came in bags not rolls?

Occasionally they came in rolls. There are some sold on eBay with Carson City Morgan enders.

Whether or not there were ever "original bank rolls" of Morgans, I would have exactly zero confidence that an "original bank roll" listed on eBay was legit.

My advice to the OP is no, don't trust it, over priced, cheaper elsewhere.
In response to the quote, I think I'll start a thread on this in a bit if someone else doesn't do it first. Morgans (to my knowledge) did come in bags and if they were put in rolls, it would have had to have been long after they stopped being minted. I thought I heard someone mention they didn't start rolling coins till the late thirties, early 40's at best?
