I am just wondering about buying bags or rolls of wheats. Aren't they previously searched for the rare finds before you buy the bag? I would think that takes some of the fun out of it. Is there any such thing as a truly unsearched bag of wheat pennies, or any coin for that matter? If there is, where do you buy them? Thanks Angie
99.99% of the bags you see have been searched and the possibility of finding anything rare is about 0 to 1. Its still fun to look and fill a collection. You can find them anywhere - ebay, most online dealers, and maybe local dealers.
