    Here’s one of my recent pickups, a well circulated 1811 Bust Half Dollar. It’s 212 years old so want to you expect in a silver coin that old that worked for a living? Lol

    If you look at the date, the 8 looks inverted. It’s not. I forgot to mention that this is the most common variety, the small date. My apologies folks.

    Recently picked up this one. Have no idea why someone counterstamped a 2 over the date but an early half at a decent price is hard to pass up.

    Back in the 1980s, I bought many of these at about $20 each. Problem coins could be had for about $10. The local shops had boxes of them and few collectors even looked at them. I should have bought more. Bust coins have gained more value than most everything in my collection. Makes up for some of the poor choices I made.
