Business strike or Proof?

    It's too hard to tell from the pictures. I would assume proof.

    Dirty impaired proof. Someone just spend 4X too much money on a losing lottery ticket.

    Ooooooohhh! I collect shield nickels.

    It is really hard to say what it is from those pics. I see some good reflectivity in between the stripes on the shield and if the fields of the reverse BUT I would not (could not) say those are proof surfaces. Heck, I can't even tell if the coin has any wear.

    No way I would pay almost $1000 for that coin without at least some better pics. Especially with the following condition:

    "ALL COINS GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC OR MONEY BACK. OTHERWISE THERE ARE NO RETURNS . . . "

    You would think the seller could afford a better camera with the windfall she is getting from selling this collection. But then again, better photos may drive the price of these coins down.
