So, I clicked on a title "Weight variation in older U.S..." and my mind went to a totally different subject & I was grossly wrong. But then I got to thinking, how many calories do I burn daily, working on my coin stuff? And I think, arbitrarily, about 10 calories a day! (I don't really know for sure!) So, for fun, and anyone willing to respond: how many calories do you think you burn doing your coin stuff (realizing that if you're like me, even lite beer will obliterate any advantage you gained). The number itself may not be accurate, but the relativity of the numbers may give an indication of who the serious collectors/accumulators are!
If you do your coin collecting while standing instead of sitting, you'll burn 32-50 more calories per hour. You're welcome. https://www.verywellhealth.com/does-standing-burn-calories-8597935
The real caloric benefit comes from working on your coin stuff instead of munching chips and candy and drinking soda. At least, I hope you aren't eating that stuff while you're handling coins...
Agreed,...now,...but 50 yrs ago, after our wedding @ Ft. Knox, we picked up a bucket of KFC (known as Kentucky Fried Chicken back then) as we left town. We still have a certain affinity for it occasionally!
The best KFC I ever had was in Petersburg Va. Man o man them black ladies there sure knew how to cook chicken.
As long as this thread has gone so far off the rails... KFC is very popular in Thailand, of all places. It's horrible there.
Hey, a layer of grease can help protect coins... except that KFC grease would surely be loaded with salt, so never mind.
I use astral travel for all of my coin activities, especially traveling to major shows. I save a ton of money but I don't think I burn much in calories. You should never eat chicken while on a computer...unless it's someone else's.
