I was in DC last week and ended up doing the BEP tour although not originally in my plans. To be honest it wasn't all that. The coolest part, in my opinion, was seeing the pallets of money (was not allowed to photograph that part). Below are some photos. They are not in order for some reason I can't figure out...
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I experienced it and I can't complain since the tour was free. For those who are collector's or interested in numismatics I recommend it. Just don't expect it to be great lol. I'm also comparing it to the US Mint tour in Philadelphia which I did the same week which I thought was better. Just my opinion. Also, the BEP tour was only about 30-40 minutes which is good since you're standing up most of the time and you can get out quick and do other things.
What? No wine bottle pictures? No food? No shots out of plane windows? You call this a report? Man, I am SUCH a snark!
I wanted to actually take in the Army finance museum when i was a little closer to it In Fort Wayne Indiana however im now on the west coast so it will have to be a special trip
Dude, I'm dealing with Memorial and Wheat cents here . Maybe one day if I make my way up to Indian Head and Flying Eagles I'll be able to afford some fancy wine and food and post them photos
