Try to keep it short as possible, found this box looking around the sale has a bunch of World coins, none are U.S. They are all very old, except some 1971s. I think ive found a couple error coins but could use some advice. There was not a lot of them and seemed to be collected for a reason (Same dates, styles, etc.) 1877 Dominican Republic 1 cent I see no errors, but are in decent shape. Possible grade? 1944 Indian Rupee (Not sure at all on this one) Year is unknown, its a UK Victoria with Hair bun so 1865-? It looks like a possible miss strike, I dont see normal wear doing this? 1950 Canadian 5 Cents, Possible double or multi strike? 1971 1/2 Penny, Die break? 1971 2 New Pence, Die Clash possibly? Sorry photos are not the best, I have more photos of all of these and can post them if needed? Im a noob, been into coins for about a year.
Last of em: Another look at 1971 half penny I think is a die break: Early 1900s Canadian One Cent 1894 French Coin?
Looks like you need to either go to the library and see if it has a copy of the Krause World Coins catalog, or buy an older copy on eBay or from a local coin shop covering 19th and 20th centuries. It will be a good chance to learn how to use it, and fun. Involve kids in the search-it will get them interested in coins, etc.
This appears to be delamination or a lamination error, due to improper mixing of alloys when making the planchet. Not really a premium for this, but still cool.
I don't see anything that sticks out as rare or valuable. Seems like someone just tossed some random older coins in a box and sold them.
Appreciate the advice, and feedback guys. I love worldcoingallery.com thank you for that alurid. I just cant find values on possible mint errors. The 1877 dominican coins look like a pretty high grade. Might be worth $25 a piece from what im finding, on auctions.
