Where is a good place on-line to find buffalo nickels. I'm thinking common date coins in BU and than their down to the keys in F/VF? Santa gave me a buffalo nickel dansco and I have a couple of lonely buffalos in it now that need friends in the herd.

Try your local shops, and if you're not opposed to cracking slabs teletrade

Dave's DCW collection is supposed to be big, but I would try ebay.

Went to my three local shops yesterday and only found one that I liked. I've been know to crack a few slabs in my days I'll have to look at teletrade. Anywhere else?

Several dealers like JJ Teaparty and Harlan Berk come to mind. Plus don't forget collectors corner.

I just purchased my first Buffalo Nickels about two weeks ago. I purchased all they had (112 of them).

I entered a contest while there and won. So, I went back last week to collect my $50.00 shopping spree prize credit. I bought more Buffalos. This time, the price was up about 40%. (.49 cents for the first batch, and .69 cents for the second batch).

I picked them out for a 14 year nephew facing surgury.

I've bought a majority of my buffalos from providentmetals.com . You don't get to pick the dates, but they sell their buffalos based on grade. They are currently out of their higher grade buffalos, which were quite nice, but the full date buffalos they sell are pretty good as well.

I've picked up all of mine off ebay or at shows. Like anything else, it's easy to get the easy years out of the way. Then it gets a lot harder. Now at most of the shows, I'm lucky to even find a single example of one I need. Sometimes I'll get lucky and find two or three examples to pick from. I'm trying to stick with clear dates on all of them. That's really been my only guideline. Some of the easier years, I've bought MS, slabbed examples and cracked them. I'm using an Intercept album. One page full and the other is pretty full.

I had a set as a kid that I regretfully sold in my teens so I'm working to get another, better one.
