Buffalo Nickel

    My friend recently gave me a buffalo nickel. It's in horrible shape but it's my first so i'm happy. I was hoping to maybe get a grade on it? Even though it's in horrible shape. It's 1924.

    That coin's not horrible. It's got some "good honest wear", but that's not so bad.

    It's always hard to tell color from a scan. My guess is the coin has been cleaned, but I think it's a great little coin.

    I like it.

    Looks to be somewhere around an AG-3... here's an example of that grade from the photo-grading guide:

    I agree - I like it. I wish I had some friends to give me buff nickels.

    ya i gave him a eisenhower dollar for it because eisenhower dollars are A LOT easier to find
    and the eisenhower dollar used to be his anyway

    If you guys like these come to East Tennessee where every dealer has bukets, boxes, tubes and rolls of these and will sell them to you at .10 cents each. The local Indians only need so many per year for belt buckels and such and I promise you I can stear you to hundreds of thousands of these in about an hour.
