i have a 1929 buffalo nickel that has a rotated die not very large or noticable but it is for sure rotated like maybe 5 to 10% rotated. of course it is still a buffalo nickel and and it is very worn but could it be worth anything
i dont have pics at this time but is this a know error? or even possible error? the best description i could give you is imagine the nose of the indian being at the 3 o'clock position when you flip it the buffalo's head should be at 9 well it is more at 7:30 position
5 degrees is within tolerance of the US Mint standards. However many collectors don't put a premium on the coin unless it's much greater, maybe 30-45 degrees or more. This applies to more modern mintages since 20th century, and earlier coins, had rotated dies on many of the coins stuck. 90 degree rotation and higher can be found on several of them. Premiums are based on the greater rotation. Yours seems to be to marginal to have anything of importance.
