I thought this was an interesting . Total junk I know, but sitll an interesting coin. I think its fire or oven damage. http://cgi.ebay.com/1876-Seated-Lib...ryZ11964QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Maybe the older silver would have done this, but the fire burned kennedy halves I went thru did not do this. Not even the frankies. A couple warped and bent. Some of them melted together, but none bubbled like when making a pancake. Of course some of the halves were so crusty you could not make out the dates.
I don't see the date that well... what do you think.. attempts at monster toning gone bad & trying to recoup the time and investment?
HMM,, Im thinking that it was a attempt to heat tone the coin that went south As well. I cant remember if iv seen something this badly bobled up before.
Man, I don't say this that often, and I'll beat ya to it Treashunt D), but that is one UGLY coin. Phoenix
Phoenix: Now, why would you ever say that! I think that I'll bid on that beauty! You make it seen like I don't apreciate the beauty of nice bubbled coins!?! [For those who are still reading: Man, that is one butt ugly coin!]
Look how worn the coin is. The bubbles came many many years after 1876. If some one bids on that i hope its to melt it. That thing is dead.
I am so hurt, that poor coin, being picked on for no reason of its own, you all should be so ashamed of your self Ms Pox
