Brown 1982p dime?????

    Acid bath or other corrosion.
     
  4. What does acid bath mean and the edge in the middle is sunk in and brown too IMG_20121126_194711.jpg

    The acid eats away and leaches the metal out, especially the copper. It also makes the surface rough and porous.

    It's slightly corroded. Coins found at the beach or in slightly acidic soil, such as where pine trees might be growing, will look like this dime.
