    It appears to be a MAD ( misaligned die)

    You have a cent made in 1968. By 1968 the master die had spread tremendously, making the In God We Trust much closer to the rim than it should've been. In 1969 the master hub was redone moving liberty and the motto in further away from the rim. The master hubs have been redone several times since then as well.

    Nice looking AU cent. I have been revisiting some old rolls that I put away, many years ago. My opinion find a roll or a flip and put it away. It's how collections get started.
