Anyone got one of these? I just bought it from my LCS a few days ago and it looks pretty good. It's a 1901 and I know my pics aren't very good but you can see most of it. Anyone else got one and pics to post or information? Weight on my scale is 26.9 so that's solid but I'm wondering if these have a mint mark and where it's located, anyone know?? :thumb: Any comments? ;)

This is a mint mark B,Bombay. The mint mark in on the center point of the trident. Yours is a B also.

Nice find! Those are beautiful. Do they have chop marks sometimes? I know they were meant for the China trade.

I've always loved British coinage, nice find. I've always thought about putting a set made up of a British, Chinese, and a US trade dollar.

Yes I have a few of these. Not long back you could pick them up for near melt, but these days they seem to have rocketed!

Those are nice ones! The straights settlement is an interesting piece. I love the symmetrical designs on the back of them.

Watch out - those are heavily counterfeited. I've come across several that don't pass the magnet test, and there are some much better copies out there too.

One of my favorite throwaway lines for other coin collectors is: "Yeah, I have an 1804 dollar, but it's pretty weakly struck and ANACS only gave it an EF-40..."
