Can someone recommend a good book on British coins only? I'm especially interested in 16th to 20th century coins, but I want to do research on all coinage British. Thanks for your recommendations!
What exactly do you want to know about them ? The book - Coins of England and the United Kingdom by Spink is a good one, but it just has general information. As is the case with the coins of any country, you will need several books depending on what you want to know. So if you can, be more specific.
I guess I'm looking for general information for now, just the basics. For instance, if there were such a thing a British Red Book, that would be perfect. I will check out the Spink book though. Thanks Doug.
Rotographic has the 2005 version of their book online and free. It's a good start, and the price is right. Then if you still want more info, then find yourself a Spinks. http://www.rotographic.com/britishcoins2005public.pdf
Know nothing about them, have no interest in ever knowing anything about them. And have never found any good web sites about them.
