Have you tried standing it on a hard surface and giving the edge a good whack with a hammer? Another alternative would be to use a Dremel with a cutting blade and cut along the seam. Chris
I've always just twisted the sets cracking the seal from the torsion and then used something to pry it apart until it was crack all around.
I got it after an hour. I cracked the hard plastic with a wrench then used a flat head screw driver to pop it open. Now I have my Ike Proof for that year! Building a set.
The '73 is a bear. Jam an awl between the dollar and half and then pry off the bottom after working the awl in from the long end. Wear eye protection.
