Hi all, 5/6/2017 Flea Market purchase. Republica Dos Estados Unidos Do Brasil - 5 Cinco Cruzeiros Came folded in this old Littelton Stamp & Coin Company envelope
I forgot why mine had those folds. Forgot how it was packaged. this was probably my first "banknote purchase". I think I have some Indonesia, Bulgaria and Hong Kong notes from Littleton from around the same time.
#176c 5 Cruizeros ND(1962-64) Series #3701-3748; 4149-4180; 4201-4232. http://worldbanknotegallery.com/countries/page.php?pg_code=BC
Isn't it something that they basically damaged the original note to fold it into their little envelope? I remember one of my first foreign paper money buys was a 1912 Russian 500 ruble note that came folded in four to fit in the miserous little envelope it was shipped in. With a horseblanket note like the 500 ruble I could give them a pass - but these cruzeiro notes are similar to dollar bill sized.
