    Hi all,
    5/6/2017 Flea Market purchase.
    Republica Dos Estados Unidos Do Brasil - 5 Cinco Cruzeiros
    Came folded in this old Littelton Stamp & Coin Company envelope

    I forgot why mine had those folds. Forgot how it was packaged. :) this was probably my first "banknote purchase".

    I think I have some Indonesia, Bulgaria and Hong Kong notes from Littleton from around the same time.

    Isn't it something that they basically damaged the original note to fold it into their little envelope? I remember one of my first foreign paper money buys was a 1912 Russian 500 ruble note that came folded in four to fit in the miserous little envelope it was shipped in. With a horseblanket note like the 500 ruble I could give them a pass - but these cruzeiro notes are similar to dollar bill sized.
