I've been collecting braided hair cents for the past year or so and didn't realize that I had actually accumulated a complete date set. This collection is far from complete in my eyes, as there are plenty of fun varieties that I would like to get as well as upgrades on a few of the ones below for one reason or another. This set is the nicest example of each date that I have so far. Some of them have obviously been cleaned in the past, and one of them was damaged during transport - a real shame too, it displayed nearly full mint luster and I paid a pretty penny for that formerly pretty cent. Still a lovely set, but far from complete. Enjoy and please post your own.
Images are too small for me to get the full impact of your set. But it appears it averages a better grade than my set which averages XF (VF-20 to MS-64). If you go for the Red Book listed varieties there are 33 coins. If you go for all of the Newcomb varieties -- well, I don't know the count but I hope you're young and have deep pockets.
The full Newcomb set, I doubt it, but I'll go for whatever I can manage anyway. I'm pretty sure that I have the redbook set minus one or two. It really shrank the size of the images down when I dropped them all into a single image, here are some better looks...and at the damage caused by a staple
I have 1845-1854 Not as good of condition as yours. The photos are not in order and I did not post all of them. And not the proper orientation. Sorry about that. The photos are all aligned properly before I post them I promise.
I loaded my set onto NGC as a Custom Set. I won't do a Registry Set since NGC won't award points for PCGS slabbed coins. https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/wcm/CoinCustomSetView.aspx?s=23591
