I just joined this forum. I have already made a few post. I recently blew the dust off my coin colection from when I was a kid and am now in the process of upgrading it. I am only an ametur. I'm older now so I have some disposable income, but will take this a step at a time. Last night was my first venture into buying. Went to a nearby coin dealer. Bought: INDIAN PENNIES - 1900 F12 ($2.5) - 1903 XF ($8) - 1903 VG8 ($2.2) - 1904 F12 ($2.5) - 1905 XF40 ($9.0) - 1906 AU55 ($21) - 1907 XF40 ($8.5) - 1908 VG8 ($2.3) - 1908 VF20 ($3.5) Total was like $60 and I got about a 15% discount. Did I over pay? By the way I read the rules and I think it is OK to make a post like this. If not please let me know.
Sounds like you did pretty good, maybe a little high on a few of the coins, but only by a dollar or two. I'm going by the Numismedia prices: Indian Cents NumisMedia Price Guide-Good-MS60
