Oh boy did I buy some Morgans, when they arrive I'll post some pics and play the "Guess the Grade" game. I think I've got some surprises for you ;) I parked the Bust Half quest for awhile and reverted back to the child hidden within me, LOL.

I love those Morgans too so I put together an AU-MS date set.Everything was going along just fine until I got to 1893-1895...YIKES!
I finally managed to get one example of each of these years but they ain't no AU's.
I'll post my pics later but what are your experiences with these three dates...pics and/or condition? Anyone?

I'm with you Mikjo...I'm also working on a date set of MS64s. I'm down to 2 or 3 reasonable ones left then I'll be struggling over those 93-95's as well.

In peeking over my greysheet, however, it looks as though the 93P would be attainable in AU, the 94O in AU as well...but that 95 is what's gonna kill the overall look of a higher grade date set as it's pretty pricey all the way down to the VF/XF range.

So...just to let everyone know...I DO need to fill these holes and what with Christmas right around the corner..*hint hint* these would be lovely gifts and much appreciated ;)

I'm helping a guy do a date set in mixed grades and all we are missing is the 1893 and 1895...any grade...any mintmark....hopefuly not a S for the 93 and not a P for the 95!

I always check the antique shops for the 93-95 morgans in any grade, but haven't ever found one there.

That's a GREAT idea. Man, I've been hitting all the antique shops for coinage for the past year or so around here.
