What do you think? What would you grade it? It may be dark but real lustrous. Exactly what I would expect from a mint set toned coin.
Really hard to tell surface marks because of the lighting and the toning... but that huge gash across the top bell lines precludes FBL. Definitely some nice mint set toning, though.
What should I do different with the lighting, I could take a photo without the colors. Not sure what to do here?
It represents the coin in hand. Not sure what look I should give. There are zero wipes, there are some bag marks.
I like it! My guess is MS 65 (66 if there are no hidden hits) and as mentioned, the one big hit prevents it being FBL. Nice coin overall.
Having owned a number of these, I know what they look like in hand. They are dark, but they are lustrous as you describe. I guess the first question would be... what lights are you using, how many, and at what angles? Two pics of the same Franklin with different lighting can come across as completely different coins....
Please don't get me wrong... these are some of the hardest coins to photograph. I'll agree, these pics are better than your average poster.
