I am 99% sure that this is after mint damage, but thought it was funny what people will do to coins...laugh, cry or cringe...its still interesting.:hail:

It was in a lucky coin holder.

 

I would say it's a (or was) encased coin also.

 

Thats interesting...I never thought of that. All of my "Lucky coin" holders hold the coin by its edge...it would make sense though to do the reeding and abrasions to hold a coin in place. Thx for the insight.

 

Yeah,I work midnight shift and sometimes I have too much time on my hands.
