Hello everybody, I was wondering what are some good books to read for beginning coin collectors, like myself that might want to have as reference and just good beginning knowledge points. I have the Red book, Blue book, and Scott Travers the Coin Collector's Survival Manual.
I suppose it depends on what US coins you want to collect. :hatch: I guess we could narrow it down to Wheat pennies, mercury dimes, Morgan's, Frankie’s, and a book that might encompass multiple coins with great overall points.

I would recommend Rick Tomaska "Complete Guide to Franklin Half Dollars" as a reference to Franklin half's.

All these books and quite a few others are in my library. I probably have more books right now than coins.;)

I would recommend Photograde. But you have to actually read it and not just look at the pictures, which are extremely helpful too.

I also recommend the Official Red Book Guides to your favorite series. Don't forget to use CoinTalk's link to Amazon if you choose to buy from Amazon. (Sticky on top of this forum.)
