I erroneously reported that I had finished the set just before the onset of the pandemic, but blast it, I was wrong. Seems (much like my old friend @kanga has done from time to time) I purchased a double of what I already had possessed thinking it was the elusive 'closer'. For some odd reason the 1951 D in condition, quality, appeal and price (most worthy) has eluded me.........until now. Nailing down something that completes a set (PDS) and date-run is extremely satisfying. Behold, my friends......... Next up are the 'Carver/Washingtons. I'm shy one on that set. In the meantime, please have a look at my set registry over on PCGS. https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/co...ulation-strikes-1946-1951/publishedset/136829 Peace Bros.
Thats a nice looking Booker T. Never realized there were 18 in the set. I have 2. A 51P and a 46D. Edit I didn't notice the link.
Oops just checked Registry nice Booker T. I ve been try to fill full commems. The Oregon are killing me! Got the 65 though! ouch!
Just checked the NGC census... You could theoretically do a date set, but not a full set. I didn't realize how many years the Booker's lasted for.
Shoot.......I need that one Dave. Still haven't come across one to fit my bill, but as of yet I ain't been actively looking.
I didn't either, I know that when I find these raw. They are rarely struck hard enough to remove the planchet marks. So, finding examples that aren't as bad as most is difficult to do. Especially when they are raw. PL's, I am sure trade for a pretty penny.
I endeavor to complete sets, no matter how big or small. Congrats. Now you just got to get rid of those MS65 dogs...I mean, really? MS65 is all you could do!!!
Oh my goodness. Your sure in it to win it. Top notch BTW collection. You must have all the others too. Do you have the Abe Lincoln one?
