Booker T. Washington (first classic commemorative I own)

Graded MS-65 supposedly by PCGS. I can't tell what grade is what in these, so I'll have to take their word for it, but personally on a generic level I feel like MS-64 would have been more appropriate. Either way, $45 bucks so no loss either way.

I already bought a Washington Carver in MS-64, an Iowa Centennial in MS-63, and an Arkansas in MS-64, all on their way to me currently.

I guess you can tell where this story is going. Will try to get the Columbian and Isabella, and an Oregon trail before the year ends. Next year I'll try to add 5 or 6 more, and so on and so on. The Hawaii will probably be left for last. If worse comes to worse, I do have some nice gold I can trade for one, but I'm hoping to just save for it.

Nice overall coin. Just be prepared to pay for the Isabella. I paid $90 for this one in AU details:

Took a better photo. Hope you like it. As far as paying for the Isabella, I am prepared. Heck, the Hawaii commemorative (when I get there) will probably require that I trade one of my $20 gold pieces and a little bit of cash. But it is what it is. I do want to complete the 50 coin type set for these.

It was a dream of mine as a child to do it, and now that I'm approaching middle age, I'm done putting it off.

If you see a nice Hawaiian grab it. That particular commemorative, regardless of grade, has seen a lot of upward movement in the last few years.

    Nice job.
I someday hope to complete the full 144 coin set. I'm about 25 in, I think. I need to check.

Took your advise. Just closed a deal on one MS-63. Dealer photos below. My wallet feels a bit lighter but better bite bullet now and not in 5-7 years when I've acquired the rest only to find out this is now 20-25% more, or worse!

That is a sweet coin around which you can build a really nice collection.
