Bleeding through ink? 1990 fifty.

    Got a 1990 fifty at the bank. The words 'the United States of America' seem to bleed through to the front. Not entire words just dots. Here are pics. Is this common?

    It can happen. If the back is over inked, it will transfer some onto the sheet underneath as the weight increases from stacking. It is not actually bleeding through but is being picked up as an offset impression.

    it is very common on $50's from the 90's. some more dramatic than others. here is one of many that i have owned

    I have some examples with this effect. They carry no premium unfortunately.
