Saw 2 blank penny planchets at the coin shop and was wondering are these worth getting or just junk?

I don't know what they are worth, but I wouldn't mind having a couple.

If you're interested in them, yes. Plus they're at good price, assuming there is nothing wrong with them. They might be worth a little more than a dollar. That is just what a website says.

    reason?

The planchets looked fine to me. Looked like they were for recent canadian pennies

I have one, pretty sure its copper...?

anyways, it was in my grandpas little collection, said he found it in change one day and decided to keep it, its fairly circulated though - somehow! lol

maybe he just kept it in a bunch of junk and thats what made it look circulated

I have a few of each denomination, and coupled with partially struck ones, they offer a better picture of what goes into the making of a coin.
