Nice. Looks like a Type 2 - with up raised rim which would make it a Blank Planchet not a Type 1 Plain Blank.. as stated on the holder
The term blank and planchet is often used interchangeably. A blank is the circular (or other shape for world coins) piece of metal punched out of a roll of coin metal creating metal disks destined to be coins. These are called Type-1 Blanks (Or often Type-1 Planchets). From there the metal disks are processed through an upsetting machine/mill which raise the rims. At this point, they are Type-2 Planchets. Some folks use Type-1 Type-2 Blanks, some Type-1 Type-2 Planchets, some call Type-1 Blanks, Type-2 Planchets. Many print references flip between the terms, so long as you understand there are two stages before the coin is struck you should be OK using any of the terms.
