Although the biblical coins I ordered have not come in yet, I put up some high grade URBS ROMA types and some greek bronzes with more to list, My prices are a fraction of what ancient coins are sold for everywhere else - plus you buy a coin in an auction you pay an extra 22% to the auctioneer, plus they charge $20 to $30 - or more for shipping, and the prices are absurd - who is bidding up these coins to the prices I see? I send every coin via trackable mail in a padded envelope, if it gets lost as happened all of three times in 26 years you get a full refund, and if it gets found - as happened once - the coin is free. And I charge $4.99 for shipping - less than my cost. And it is not just ebay and auction sites that have absurd prices - but not use going into that. Dealers price at twice cost - I price by checking for the cheapest of that type by looking at the lowest prices on ebay and that other ancient coin site, then price below that making adjustments for condition. I have seen the same type of coin in lesser condition sell for multiples of what I have up on my site. A shame - plus I advise the people I sell coins to - become online friends with many of them. If i have extras of modest types I include a free coin with each order. I am waiting for additional coins so I had to temporarily doing stop that - ran out of coins to give away. Ebay now has a bad reputation since they made it buyer beware, but I do not sell anything but genuine coins guaranteed as long as I am on planet earth - well over 11,000 sold over 26 years to over 6,000 unique buyers and not one was ever returned - for any reason - I just realized that. I sell coins but I am many times more a collector than dealer - I sell coins to make a small profit to be able to buy coins for my collection - that's it - this is not a living for me. Ok enough of my long windedness - check them out - I have a bunch of new coins coming in too.
