I love the black NGC slabs. They just look plain badass. If NGC slabbed more coins in black holders, I would buy more NGC coins and fewer PCGS coins, my go to brand. These pictures aren't very good, but you can see the sinister and beautiful look of a shiny silver coin contrasted with the black slab.
I agree, the color is cool, question, if you want a coin verified as real or should I say verify as a real error coin; what company would you usethat when verified would give the best grade. Would appreciate your or any opinions. Thanks
Not a fan. Some coins contrast well with black inserts but I find the highly glossy shell to be a distraction unless looking at them stright on in a low amient light setting. Not to mention how they exacerbate fingerprints like I'm watching an episode of CSI.
I collect almost exclusively circulated copper, which look awful in these black holders. I agree that fresh silver pops, but they don't work for me...
So if I lift that reverse Kennedy image, save it to my Photos app on my iPhone, then click my home button three times rapidly, does it then look like a "regular" coin?
I didn't even really look at your pics at first but the shiny glare of the plastic they use that bothers me with these is highlighted quite nicely here
