Could be, but I'm not too sure about that one being Improperly Annealed. Cupronickel is the main mixture of metals used for Nickels. They can tone from various factors during circulation. Here is mine..
That coin looks like it has a nice skin on it. Not really sure that it is a Black Beauty though. Black Beauties have a distinct look! I will see if I can find one.

Interesting, I have been thinking that for sure it is one because of the gun metal look. I've seen environmental damage or toning, but this looks very different in hand - very gun metal across all sides including the edge. Also a 1959 date which is a common date for them to appear. I'll have to take better pictures tomorrow to see what you think.
