Had put this on another forum to see if it was worth keeping or just spending, found it may be worth trying to sell, one member had given a number of there opinion on value, just looking for a general idea of what to ask for to post for sale, I know it is only worth what someone would pay, but I have no clue what market these have. Any thoughts would be great. Thank you in advance.
I'll see if I can find mine. I think $1 are in some ways more desirable, people don't want to tie up $20.
Only worth what someone is willing to pay. You may have a lot of work finding that one person that just has to have that serial/date. Check eBay sold listings and elsewhere for prices. To me . . . it's just a $20 note.
Unless you can find someone who has that B-day or know someone with that B-day odds are don't expect much. But I think your likely to get easily 25-50% above face value by people on ebay who just like collecting dates. (Because it's a $20, if it was a $1 you could likely flip it for $5 or more) It's been awhile since I check listings but I bet if you check ebay & filter under sold items you can see if I'm still right. I would look to see if any celebrities or sports stars born that day then try contact the spouse about buying it for them as a present.
Ryan Jarvis, Raul Garcia & Yoann Gourcuffare born on 07/11/1986 I don't think any are American but they are professional soccer players who might be able pay good value. I forget some people go month day year so you can look November 7th 1986 aswell.
