My friend over seas sent me this, I asked for complete pictures of the coin and he's working on that but I couldn't wait. I did see a post 2010 but no pictures we're available so not sure if this is what that member had 9 years ago. So, is this for real? Not just a huge D but a HUGE D over D. Please forgive me, I use the term huge D in strictly the most non offensive way. That is a Copper plated zinc Cent. What you are seeing is the plating was exposed and the zinc underneath rotting.

It is called Zinc Rot :yack:

Gotta love those terribly made zinc cents; guess the mint had to save money somehow, given that it couldn't afford to make them from copper post 1982.

Wow, I kind of had my suspicions. That would have been my guest but the only thing making me think otherwise was the appearance I've never seen I can't do anything like that to a coin oh, I'm sure it's super common but just look to Wild that definitely makes seense

I apologize, I am voice messaging as I drive down the highway which I shouldn't be doing. I will go back and edit all my typos as soon as I pull off
