Ken Dorney Yea, I'm Cool That Way...

The CNG auction today had some items I was interested in (like the Caligula sestertius, but it was just a bit low grade to bid more). Anyway, I threw a single bid in on this coin early this morning and I was surprised to win it. Nice big nose on this one. Post your Roman noses if you have them.

Nice to win with a single bid. Awesome coin, but that honker made me immediately think of Felonius Gru!

The nose on this coin was "fixed" on later issues to give Domitian a more regal look. This coin was minted in the first few weeks of his reign.

Sasanian kings had proportional noses but the governors that followed them had truely gigantic ones.

I always though Justinian I had a larger than normal nose in this follis.
