I have a couple BIE errors but today I found a cud between the I and B. Is there any difference in terms of scarcety and value ( if any?). The cud looks like my others only in a different position.

That would be considered, IIB, die crack. Which ever letters have the die break between them add the " I " between the 2 letters and you have the die variety. If it occurs between the L and the rim it would be " ILI ", or between the Y and the bust, " TYI ". Most have minimal value,25-50cents.
    Hope this helps...

I concur, a die break (proper term) and minimal value, nevertheless, people still collect them. A CUD, technically is a die break at the rim where a portion of the die has fallen out, yet some collectors call any ol' die break a CUD...

Thanks guys. I have been misunderstanding what a cud is apparently. I have what has been called the horse poop error on the 2006 P Nevada quarter I heard was a cud. Also a few cents with what I thought was cuds on the columns. So they are die breaks huh. Sure am learning here thanks everybody.
