On a big road trip and gathering coins. I get coins at night I will just take a few quick pictures and look at them when I can. I got this bicentennial quarter last night kind of banged up but something didn't work quite right. Anyway here we go again. Lol These letters in IGWT are definitely double I'm not going to say what caused this because as usual I wouldn't be right. The date is hard sort but maybe some MD. E Pluribus Unum has some Doubling. The M especially
Your images are too washed out so it would just be a guess one way or another, but I am leaning toward machine doubling. Chris
Or they call it MD because it's flat, lacks split serifs, and/or the highest part of the device is thinner than normal @MORRIS Acuff I'm with Chris on this. The EPU on the Rev and date look like MD. Can't tell about IGWT due to the pics, but it could be MD or DDD. I don't see anything that makes me think DD
The coin is not a doubled-die. Whole coin pictures really help the most. The in-tight shots really do nothing, but, make it harder to diagnose striking issues.
Really appreciate everyone that little bit of extra time and tosses out a little bit of advice to those of us trying to figure this out. I am thinking about a cheap set up to help this half blind old guy. I don't think I'll be able to cut out a true double die without something better than this galaxy. I try 2 get better pictures when I get home I see something on the roadthatI want to check out
