Love all the artistry that Bhutan puts into its notes and coins. Cynical people will claim that it's mainly to get collectors to buy them lol but even if so I don't mind. Always wondered what the significance, if any, is of the dragons holding seashells. Seashells seem an odd thing to depict on a note from a landlocked country that is almost as far from the ocean as it's possible to get on this planet.
i agree gatzdon! i would alos go a bit further and say there are alot of countries from aroudn the world whose pictoral accounts placed on their currency carry much nicer designs then our american notes. This note from Bhutan is very pleasing to look at. Very nice!!!
I'm in agreement with Gatzdon and Daggarjon on this one. A lovely note and other currencies seem to mean a lot more than the U.S. notes.
This note's face value puts it at a value of just a little over 2 US cents at current exchange rates. I love the detail the put in the note even at this low a value. Look at Bhutan's other notes btw... all have great detail and artistry.
