best year

    which year was the most important for coins? which year was the most amount of produced coins?

    1787, 1792, 1793 could all probably be considered good years because of firsts (Fugio, Disme and Half Disme, and the first coins that the Mint considers official.)

    And those dates are just for US coins...The 'First' for coins happened thouhsands of years earlier and was important too!


    Dunno but I would check a current Redbook to see which recent year had the highest mintage of Zincolns and that would probably be a good guess.

    hi mercury,

    I think you have that wrong, the best year woudn't be a year of high mintage, but one of low mintage

    Probably 2002 or 2003
