I was curious about taking pictures of my coins, i have a very decent digital camera but it seems i get a glare from the flash, or the picture turns out to dark when i use the actual zoom

does anyone have any recomendations for taking picures of your coins

I have a Kodak 4350 and it has a close up option which works real well. However it does not trigger the flash so lighting has to be good.

Don't use the flash. Use the macro mode. Use support for the camera.

Not bad. Needs to be a little sharper. The blurriness could be from movement if you did not use the flash. (don't use the flash...use support) Crop the coin closer in your software.

First try huh?.....Digital cameras...no wonder photographers are hurting.

What do you mean by "use support?"

support = mounting the camera to a tripod so its stable ;)

you can also use sandbags, books, or something to keep the camera stable.

    key is no movement.
